End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Language Arts: In 2020-2021, 75%  (unadjusted) of all students will be on gradel level in reading as measured by the DRA (K-2) and Reading SOL (3-6).

Strategy 1  

Instructional planning for small group instruction based on data.

Strategy 2

Students will  independently apply what they learned during small group instruction.

Strategy 3

Increase parent understanding and involvement in literacy education

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Math: In 2020-2021, 85% (unadjusted) of all students will be on gradel level in mathematics as measured by the VKRP (K), EOY (1-2), and SOL (3-6).

Strategy 1

 Instructional planning for small group instruction based on multiple data points.

Strategy 2

Teachers will understand and implement the components of math workshop to differentiate instruction for all students

Strategy 3

Implement advanced math strategies and curriculum in grades 3-6 to support raising the bar for all students. 

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Caring Culture: The number of students who will be chronically absent for the 2020-2021 school year will decrease by 50% as compared to the 2019-2020 school year.

Increase community, staff, and student knowledge around attendance and its impact on student success.

Ensure an inclusive culture for all members of the Pine Spring community.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Access and Opportunity: By June 2021, the number of ESOL and/or SpEd students receiving Level II AAP services or higher will increase by 20%.

Strategy 1

Increase staff understanding around how to identify students

Strategy 2

Provide opportunities for all children to access higher level thinking strategies such as Jacob’s Ladder and Socratic Seminar.
