Attendance Procedures

Attendance is taken Monday through Friday. Please notify the office and classroom teacher any time your child won’t be able to attend school due to illness, an appointment, travel, or etc.
Absence
3 Ways to Notify the Office:
- If your child will be absent from school, please notify us by calling the attendance line 571-226-4444
- Or you can email us at PineSpringES.Attendance@fcps.edu.
- Beginning in the 24-25 school year, parents/legal guardians can submit full-day absences using ParentVue. Learn more about attendance reporting through ParentVue.
Notify Your Child's Teacher:
- Send their teacher a message via TalkingPoints
- Copy your child's teacher on your email to the office, so both the office and teacher are aware.
Families of students not reported absent by 9:30 a.m. will be notified of the absence.
Attendance Line and Absence Follow-up
When reporting an absence, please indicate the following:
When reporting a student's absence, please be specific about why your student will not attend school today.
- If reporting an ill student, include symptoms, especially if they have a fever, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, and/or cough. If your student has a diagnosis from a healthcare provider, please include that information.
