They analyzed and discussed a famous family portrait by William Johnson and they observed the shapes that are used to draw the human body. Students visualized their family members before drawing their clothing details and personal traits. They included a ground line in thier background and a setting that related to their family member. Students colored their whole paper, even when their hands were tired!
