Early Childhood Class-based services provide instruction in a classroom setting and are located in a number of elementary schools within FCPS. The curriculum is language rich and emphasizes communication, early literacy, social development, and development of other skills as designated in the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Our Early Childhood Class-based program consist of a morning and afternoon class that serves approximately 8 students each, that have been identified through formal assessments. Each class is led by a teacher and an instructional assistant. Developmentally appropriate activities are used to teach basic skills to address the children's deficit areas as well as enhancing their overall development.
